We’ll socialize, create DIY necklaces, and make hot toddies, ginger turmeric tea, and hot buttered rum. Plus, we’ll also learn how to French braid your own hair for the holidays (taught by Sarah Merrie, the talented LA-based hair pro behind Alchemistry Beauty).
Artist Amber Traeden of Portland’s Dāva Bead & Trade created three custom necklace kits for you to make to treat yo’self and your fam as DIY jewelry for handmade holiday gifts.
So, gather your besties, register to attend, and choose which necklace(s) you’d like to make (below).
6:00–6:30PM PST: Warm Cocktails & Ginger Tea
First, learn how to make a hot toddy, ginger turmeric tea, and hot buttered rum from Jess (@jessbeegood), Chris (@christito), and Selena (@missysuicide).
6:45PM–7:30PM PST: How to Make Cute DIY Necklaces
Via video, Ann (@priestessbling) walks us all through how to make three different unique custom necklaces for yourself and/or for your besties and fam for holiday gifts.
Custom Dāva DIY Necklace Kit #1
This exclusive kit includes everything you need to make this cool color block necklace: freshwater pearls, glass seed beads, and sterling silver beads. You’ll have enough beads to make a short or long necklace.
Custom Dāva DIY Necklace Kit #2
This exclusive necklace kit includes freshwater pearls, glass seed beads, brass beads, and zircon beads, and everything you need to make this beautiful necklace. You’ll have enough beads to make a short or long necklace.
Custom Dāva DIY Necklace Kit #3
Your kit includes everything you need to make this unique pendant necklace: glass seed beads, brass beads, and the pendant. You’ll have enough beads to make a short or long necklace.
The only tool you’ll need, in addition to the supplies provided in the kits, are:
- Needle-nose pliers
Each kit contains:
– 1 yard of soft flex wire
– 1 clasp that is nickel and lead-free
– Hundreds of cool beads
6:30PM–6:45PM PST: Learn to French Braid Your Own Hair
Finally, pro hairstylist and colorist Sarah Merrie (@sarahmerrie) from LA’s Alchemistry Beauty shows us and easy method for French braiding our own hair. (It’s so easy that even @jessbeegood is able to do it!)
